Brochure Printing

Give your story space to breathe. From a concise company overview to a substantial presentation piece, we print and finish brochures under one roof in West Yorkshire.

What we print

A brochure built around its purpose

A brochure has more work to do than a flyer: it needs to guide a reader through an idea, a collection or a service. Start with what the reader should do when they reach the last page, then work backwards through the content. We can discuss page size, stock, binding and print process while the layout is still flexible. That is especially useful if brochures will go into a presentation pack or a postal envelope.

Compact handouts

A5 is easy to pass on at a meeting or event, while a landscape format may suit a visual portfolio. Decide whether it will be held, posted or displayed before settling on dimensions.

Full-size presentations

A4 portrait gives text and imagery more room. A4 landscape or another considered format can help with wide photographs and diagrams, provided the finished piece is comfortable to handle.

Page planning

For a saddle-stitched brochure, pages are usually planned in multiples of four because folded sheets form the book. Check that the cover, inside covers and back page have deliberate roles rather than filling a count.

Paper & finishes

Silk coated stock can balance image detail with readable text; gloss gives a brighter sheen, while uncoated paper offers a softer, more tactile result. A different cover stock can add substance without making every internal page heavier. FSC-certified options are available, and we can talk through how stock choice affects the finished brochure.

Covers can be laminated for protection or enhanced with spot UV, foil or embossing to draw attention to a logo or detail. These are most useful when they reinforce the design rather than compete with it. Ask us to consider cover weight, finish and binding as a single specification.

Choosing a brochure binding

Saddle stitching folds the pages and secures them through the spine. It is a straightforward choice for slimmer brochures that should open readily and have no printed spine. It works particularly well when the page count is planned in multiples of four.

PUR perfect binding creates a squared spine for a thicker brochure, giving you room for a spine title and a more book-like finish. It is worth discussing early because the thickness of the stock and page count determine whether the spine is practical. We can advise on the most appropriate construction for your content.

Litho or digital printing?

A short-run brochure, a version for each audience or a piece with personalised information can be produced digitally on our Heidelberg Versafire presses. This avoids plates and lets content change where required.

For a larger run of the same design, our B2 Heidelberg litho presses are often a stronger fit. We assess the number of copies, paper, page count and finishing together, rather than assuming one process is always best. Pre-press and finishing are handled at our Keighley site.

Mailing & trade print

If the brochure is intended for direct mail, its weight and finished dimensions matter as much as the design. We can discuss how it sits within an envelope, whether it needs a personalised covering letter and how the pack will be enclosed. Our in-house data processing, Buhrs enclosing lines and Mailmark sortation can take a project from approved files to postal preparation.

For agencies and print resellers, the same brochure production is available as unbranded trade print under NDA. We can work to your agreed specification while keeping your client relationship yours.
