Print & Direct Mail for Glasgow Organisations

Glasgow organisations often need print that reaches people well beyond the city: supporters across Scotland, members across the UK, customers in every postcode. Fretwell prints, encloses and mails that work at our single factory in Keighley, West Yorkshire, then sorts eligible mail for Royal Mail so it can be delivered wherever your recipients are.

We are not a Glasgow printer and do not claim a local branch. What we offer is litho and digital print, finishing, data processing and mail enclosing in one production plan, which suits campaigns where the printed piece and its route to the doormat matter equally.

Built for national mailings

A mailing to Scottish and UK addresses involves more than print. Our data team can prepare your address file, our Heidelberg Versafire and Konica Minolta AccurioPress digital presses can personalise each item, and Buhrs enclosing lines assemble the packs. Eligible UK mail is then sorted for Royal Mail Mailmark, so a Glasgow team does not need to coordinate a printer and a separate mailing house.

For longer runs, our Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 75 B2 litho press handles brochures, reports and campaign literature, with folding, stitching, PUR binding and lamination in-house. We hold ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 27001 certification and FSC chain of custody, which helps when a procurement process asks how quality, environmental impact and data are managed.

Charity appeals from Scotland

Glasgow is home to many charities and community organisations that raise funds by post. Scottish charities must show their registered name and SC number on documents asking for donations, so we check for that as part of reviewing an appeal pack before it goes to press. Our charity appeal pack checklist covers the other components worth planning, from the letter and reply form to the envelope.

Warm appeals usually need personalisation: a supporter’s name, their last gift or a tailored ask. Variable data printing lets each letter carry different content while the pack is produced as one run. If you are mailing donors on both sides of the border, the same campaign can be printed together and sorted for Royal Mail in one go.

Where the work happens

Getting from Glasgow to our printworks

Central Glasgow is roughly 210–220 miles by road from Keighley, typically around four hours or more depending on route and traffic. We have no Glasgow office or collection point. Projects are briefed and proofed remotely, and finished work is delivered or posted directly to its recipients.

Distances and journey times are approximate, not a delivery or turnaround estimate. For a specific job, please discuss the destination and date with our team.
