Printers for Middlesbrough and Teesside
Teesside’s economy is built around industry: chemicals, process engineering, energy and the companies that supply them, alongside public bodies, colleges and charities. Fretwell serves Middlesbrough and Teesside organisations from our single factory in Keighley, West Yorkshire, producing print and direct mail in-house.
We have no Teesside office. We work with Middlesbrough teams remotely and start each brief with how the document will be used, whether that is on a plant site, in a boardroom or at someone’s kitchen table.

Documents for industrial sites and their suppliers
Process and engineering businesses produce a lot of controlled documentation: site inductions, safety booklets, contractor handbooks and procedures that must be reprinted whenever they change. Digital print on Heidelberg Versafire and Konica Minolta AccurioPress suits these shorter, frequently updated runs. Saddle stitching and PUR perfect binding are done in-house for booklets that need to last.
Corporate and sustainability reports, recruitment material and capability brochures are often longer runs with higher presentation standards. Our Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 75 B2 litho press and in-house lamination and finishing cover that work, with FSC-certified stock available when the report itself needs to reflect the company’s environmental commitments.
Public bodies and charities across the Tees Valley
Councils, housing providers and health bodies need resident and patient letters that are accurate, secure and on time. Our data team prepares the file, the letters are printed and enclosed on Buhrs lines, and eligible UK mail is sorted for Royal Mail Mailmark. ISO 27001 certification covers how we handle supplied personal data.
Local charities may need supporter newsletters, appeal packs and annual reviews. We can plan the printed pieces and the mailing together, so the format, weight and postage are decided at the same time rather than one after the other.
