Print, Packaging & Mailing for Leicester
Leicester has a strong mix of manufacturers, retailers, food businesses and charities, many of them selling well beyond the city. Fretwell produces commercial print, printed packaging and direct mail at our Keighley factory in West Yorkshire, then delivers or mails the finished work.
We do not run a Leicester office. Every job is made at our single production site, where print, finishing, packaging and mailing work alongside each other.
Product, packaging and the print that goes with it
For a product business, the box, the swing tag, the insert and the trade brochure all need to look like they belong together. We print packaging alongside commercial print, so colour and stock can be planned across the range. Finishes such as foil blocking, embossing, spot UV and soft-touch lamination are applied in-house.
Our Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 75 handles B2 litho work, and our Heidelberg Versafire and Konica Minolta AccurioPress presses cover shorter runs and personalised pieces. If you sell to both trade buyers and consumers, we can discuss separate versions of the same literature without duplicating the whole job.
Reaching customers and supporters
A retailer may want a catalogue or mailer for existing customers; a charity may need a regular appeal or newsletter for supporters across the UK. In both cases the mailing route affects the format: size, weight and enclosing all influence postage. We can plan the printed piece and the mailing together rather than treating postage as an afterthought.
Our data team prepares and cleans address files, our Buhrs lines enclose packs, and eligible mail is sorted for Royal Mail Mailmark. For multilingual communities, versioned print lets a single campaign go out in different languages to different parts of a list, provided the data identifies who should receive which version.

Getting from Leicester to our printworks
Leicester is roughly 100–115 miles from Keighley by road, generally around two to two and a half hours by car depending on route and traffic. We produce all work at Goulbourne Street, Keighley BD21 1PX and have no Leicester collection point.
