Labels that suit the way they will be used
A label has to look right and stay put. Before choosing a material or finish, think about what it will be stuck to, where it will be used, how long it has to last and how it will be applied. A promotional sticker handed out at an event has very different needs from a product label or a swing tag that hangs from a garment. Tell us the use, the quantity and how the labels will be applied, and we can confirm whether the job suits our production and recommend a specification.

Product labels and swing tags
Labels, sleeves, wraps and swing tags often complete a product's packaging. Designing them alongside the box or mailer helps colour, stock and finish stay consistent across the range.
Promotional stickers
Stickers for events, campaigns or packs can be cut to shape. Keep the shape simple enough to cut cleanly and avoid fine detail close to the cutting line.
Window and floor graphics
Larger self-adhesive vinyl graphics for windows, floors and vehicles are produced on our wide-format presses, with removable or permanent adhesive options.
Paper & finishes
The material depends on the job. Paper-based label stocks suit products that stay dry; films and vinyls suit labels exposed to moisture, handling or the outdoors. Swing tags are usually printed on card. Tell us about the surface the label goes on and its conditions of use, and we will recommend a material.
Foil, embossing and spot UV can give a premium product label or swing tag a tactile, high-value finish, and matching packaging can carry the same treatments. FSC-certified board is available for swing tags and packaging components.
Cutting and finishing
Shaped labels, stickers and swing tags can be die-cut in-house, the same process we use for our packaging. A bespoke shape needs its own cutting tool, which can add a few days to the schedule, so allow for it when planning.
If your labels need to be supplied on rolls for an automatic applicator, tell us at the outset so we can confirm whether the job suits our production before you commit to a specification.
Litho or digital printing?
Short runs and labels that change between versions, flavours or batches can be printed digitally, with variable data used for codes or numbering. Larger runs of a single design can be printed by litho, where a Pantone brand colour can be matched exactly.
Vinyl stickers and window or floor graphics run on our wide-format inkjet presses with UV-stable inks. Our team checks artwork for resolution, bleed and colour before production, whichever route the job takes.
Mailing & trade print
Labels and stickers are often part of a larger job: a product launch, an e-commerce pack or a promotional mailing. We can print the packaging, inserts and labels together and assemble them with our in-house handwork and contract packaging team.
A sticker or seal can also be enclosed in a direct mail pack or charity appeal as a small involvement device. If it will be enclosed, tell us early so it can be planned with the other pack components and the enclosing line. Labels for resellers can be produced as unbranded trade print under NDA.
