Printers for Oxford Reports, Publications & Fundraising

Oxford organisations produce a lot of long documents: annual reports, research reviews, programmes, journals and college publications that are read closely and kept. Fretwell prints and binds this kind of work at our factory in Keighley, West Yorkshire, and can mail it to readers across the UK.

We are not based in Oxford and do not have a collection point there. Our offer is a single production site with B2 litho, digital print, binding, finishing and mailing, so a long publication and the letter that goes out with it can be planned together.

Long documents, bound to last

The binding is often the biggest decision on a long document. Saddle stitching suits slimmer programmes and newsletters; PUR perfect binding gives a square spine for annual reports and longer reviews and holds pages more securely than standard glue. Both are in-house, and we can advise on page counts, cover weights and lamination so the finished piece opens and wears well.

For publications with a fixed design and a larger run, our Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 75 B2 litho press gives consistent colour across every copy. For shorter runs, a print-on-demand reprint or a version for a particular audience, our Heidelberg Versafire and Konica Minolta AccurioPress digital presses are usually more practical.

College and charity fundraising

Oxford colleges, museums and charities often pair a publication with an appeal: an impact report sent with a personalised letter, or a donor newsletter with a reply form. We can print both, personalise the letter from your data, enclose the pack on Buhrs lines and sort eligible UK mail for Royal Mail Mailmark.

If you publish regularly, think about which parts change between editions. Keeping covers, templates and stocks consistent makes later reprints simpler and the series more recognisable. FSC-certified papers are available under our chain-of-custody certification, which is often a requirement in charity and institutional procurement.

Where the work happens

Getting from Oxford to our printworks

Oxford is roughly 190–200 miles from Keighley by road, commonly around three and a half to four hours or more depending on route and traffic. All work is produced at Goulbourne Street, Keighley BD21 1PX. Projects can be briefed remotely, with finished items delivered or mailed directly to recipients.

Distances and journey times are approximate, not a delivery or turnaround estimate. For a specific job, please discuss the destination and date with our team.
