Print & Direct Mail for Dublin and Irish Campaigns
If your audience is in Ireland, the hard part of a mailing is often the postage, not the print. Fretwell produces Irish direct mail at our Keighley factory and hands sorted mail directly to An Post Dublin for distribution throughout the Republic, rather than routing it through the UK postal network.
We work with organisations in Dublin, and with UK teams targeting Irish recipients, on personalised letters, appeal packs, brochures and other addressed mail. Data preparation, printing, enclosing and An Post sortation are planned together, so the format of the pack and the postal product can be chosen at the same time.

Eircode, Postaim and An Post handled for you
An Post has its own tariff structure, separate from Royal Mail. Postaim, its discounted bulk scheme for addressed mail, depends on correct Eircode formatting, sortation to An Post specification and an electronic docket. Our data team formats each Irish address to the Eircode standard and runs Postaim categorisation, and we prepare the edocket on our own An Post account. You do not need a separate An Post agreement in place.
Postaim bulk rate discounts typically become available from 1,000 items, with the biggest savings from 5,000 items upwards. Smaller quantities go at standard An Post rates. We can also discuss Publicity Post, An Post’s unaddressed door-to-door service, and Bulk Rate Addressed Mail, and advise which suits your volume and budget.
One production run, two postal systems
Many organisations mail both sides of the Irish Sea: supporters in Dublin and in Britain, or customers in the Republic and the UK. We can split one data file into Irish and UK streams, print the packs together, then sort the Irish items for An Post and eligible UK items for Royal Mail Mailmark. That keeps the creative and the print consistent while each stream goes through the right postal route.
Personalisation works the same way for Irish recipients as for UK ones. Our digital presses can print names, addresses and variable content from your data, and Buhrs enclosing lines assemble the packs. Because we hold ISO 27001 for information security, procurement teams asking how address data is handled have a certified framework to review.

Getting from Dublin to our printworks
All production takes place at Goulbourne Street, Keighley BD21 1PX; we have no office in Dublin or elsewhere in Ireland. Sorted Irish mail is transported directly to An Post Dublin and typically arrives across the Republic within 3–5 working days of postal handover. Briefs, proofs and approvals are handled remotely.
Distances and journey times are approximate, not a delivery or turnaround estimate. For a specific job, please discuss the destination and date with our team.
