Printers for Coventry: Catalogues, Print & Direct Mail
Coventry has a long engineering and manufacturing history, and many of its businesses supply larger manufacturers or sell through dealers. That usually means technical literature: catalogues, spec sheets and price lists that have to be accurate and are updated often. Fretwell produces that kind of work at our single factory in Keighley, West Yorkshire.
We have no Coventry office. We work with Coventry teams remotely and plan print, finishing and distribution around how the material will be used.
Technical literature for the supply chain
A supplier catalogue may run to many pages and need a durable binding, while a single-product data sheet may need reprinting every time a specification changes. PUR perfect binding and saddle stitching can be discussed for longer documents, and digital print suits short runs of updated sheets. Our Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 75 B2 litho press suits larger catalogue runs.
Where a range is sold in several markets or to different customer groups, versioning can help. Different price lists or contact details can be produced from one design using our digital presses and data team, instead of keeping several separate print files.
Universities, charities and national mailings
Coventry is also home to universities and charities that communicate with audiences across the UK. A prospectus, an alumni magazine or a supporter appeal each has different requirements for paper, binding and postage. We will ask where the piece is going and how it will be read before suggesting a specification.
For addressed mail, our data team prepares the file, the pieces are printed and enclosed on Buhrs lines, and eligible UK mail is sorted for Royal Mail Mailmark at Keighley. ISO 27001 certification covers how we handle supplied data.
