Liverpool organisations produce a lot of print that has to work hard in a short time: event programmes, visitor guides, appeal mailings and recruitment material for students and staff. Fretwell produces this kind of work at our single factory in Keighley, West Yorkshire, with print, finishing and mailing handled by one team.
We do not have a Liverpool office. What we offer is a production site where the presses, finishing equipment, data team and enclosing lines work together, so a brief that mixes printed pieces and posted packs can be planned once rather than split between suppliers.
Print for events, venues and visitor attractions
The city has a busy calendar of concerts, sport, exhibitions and conferences, and the print around them often runs to fixed dates. Programmes, tickets, posters and large-format signage need to arrive together and in time. Tell us the event date and the delivery point first, and we can plan production backwards from there.
Event and visitor material often changes between editions. Our Heidelberg Versafire and Konica Minolta AccurioPress digital presses suit shorter runs and versioned pieces, while the Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 75 B2 litho press handles longer runs of guides and brochures. Saddle stitching, PUR perfect binding, folding and lamination are all done in-house.
Charities, universities and national campaigns
Liverpool is home to universities, cultural organisations and charities whose supporters and students live across the UK and beyond. For an appeal or alumni mailing, the important destination is the recipient’s letterbox, not the city. Our data team can prepare the file, our Buhrs lines enclose the packs, and eligible mail is sorted for Royal Mail Mailmark.
Businesses linked to the port, logistics and trade often need technical literature, product catalogues and branded packaging rather than campaign print. We can discuss specification, stock and finish for each, and ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 27001 certification and FSC chain of custody help when procurement asks how the work is managed.

Getting from Liverpool to our printworks
Central Liverpool is roughly 70–80 miles from Keighley by road, typically around one and three-quarter to two and a half hours depending on route and traffic across the Pennines. All production is at Goulbourne Street, Keighley BD21 1PX; there is no Liverpool collection point. Finished work can be delivered or mailed direct to recipients.
