A banner that works from across the room
A roller banner (or pull-up banner) is a printed graphic that winds into a base cassette and pulls up onto a support pole. It is portable, quick to set up and reusable, which makes it a staple for exhibitions, receptions, events and shop floors. Most people see it from a distance and for only a few seconds, so the design should carry one clear message, a strong brand mark and a simple next step. Tell us where and how often the banner will be used, and we will help you choose the right hardware and material.

Single banners
One roller banner can sit beside a stand, a reception desk or a stage. Keep the logo and headline high enough to be seen over a table or a crowd, and leave the lower part clear of essential detail.
Matching sets
Two or three banners side by side can form a backdrop, either as a continuous image or as separate panels with related messages. Plan the joins so key text never falls across two banners.
Hardware choice
Roller banner systems come in a range of widths, heights and build qualities. Confirm the hardware before artwork starts, because the visible area and the section that rolls into the base vary between systems.
Paper & finishes
Roller banners are printed on a flexible display material rather than paper. It needs to roll and unroll repeatedly, hang flat and sit opaque under bright venue lighting. Tell us how often the banner will be used and in what conditions, and we will recommend a suitable material.
We print with UV-stable inks for strong, lasting colour. For hard-working banners, a protective laminate can be discussed to help resist scuffs and handling. If the banner may be used outdoors, mention it at the briefing stage, as a different display product may suit better.
Finishing and assembly
Roller banner cassette assembly and carry bag supply are carried out in-house, so the banner arrives ready to stand up. Cutting and finishing are completed at our site rather than sent elsewhere.
If you are re-using existing hardware, tell us the make and the graphic size it takes. Replacement graphics need to match the cassette exactly, including the section that fixes into the base and the top rail.
Litho or digital printing?
Roller banners run on our wide-format inkjet presses. Large format artwork is typically supplied at 1:10 scale at 300dpi, which is equivalent to 30dpi at full size and is correct for normal viewing distances. Artwork prepared for an A4 page will not usually be sharp enough when scaled up.
Our team checks each file for resolution, bleed and colour before production and flags any issues so you can supply corrected artwork. Most large format orders are ready within 3–5 working days of artwork approval; tell us your event date and we will confirm a delivery date.
Mailing & trade print
Banners are often needed alongside event literature: leaflets, brochures, business cards or a pre-event invitation mailing. Because we print commercial, large format and direct mail at the same site, the banner and the printed material can be colour-matched and delivered together.
For agencies and print resellers, roller banners are available as unbranded trade print under NDA. Let us know whether they should be delivered to you, your client or straight to the venue.
